Brandon University Department of Physics & Astronomy: Sessional Teaching Positions

Brandon University is a leader in providing high quality education in arts, sciences, education, music, and health studies. Based in southwestern Manitoba, Brandon University also offers pre-professional and Master’s programs, as well as innovative and award-winning outreach programs in a personalized learning environment.

The Department of Physics & Astronomy invites applications for two sessional positions in the September 2021 to April 2022 academic year. The first position will teach 12 credit hours including four courses at first and upper year levels. The second position will teach 10.5 credit hours including one course at first year level and an assortment of first year lab sessions.  Course assignments will depend on the abilities of the successful applicants.

The normal mode of course delivery is in-person; however, given the uncertainties inherent in the current pandemic, applicants should also be prepared to teach in an online synchronous format.
Qualifications: A PhD is preferred; however, candidates with a Masters degree and successful record of teaching experience may be considered.

Application Deadline: June 14, 2021, or until the position is filled.
Start date: August 28, 2021 for first term and January 1, 2022 for second term
Salary:  $6252 for each 3 credit hour course
