The CASCA Graduate Student Committee (GSC) is reviving our seminar series, CaTS (Canadian Telescope Seminars) with a new twist — Canadian Telescope/Theoretical Seminars. While CaTS previously (2021 series) focused solely on telescopes and instrumentation, we now expand its scope to include the theoretical content behind the telescopes and instrumentation.
The aim of the series remains the same: to spotlight the diverse astronomical observatories or telescope missions that Canada is involved in. We now simply also spotlight the theoretical side of these observatories (the theory behind the acquisition or analysis of their data, including any modeling or simulation-based techniques). The seminar will be held alternately, one session featuring an observatory/mission/telescope, and the following session showcasing the theoretical side of that same observatory.
