The Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics (DAA) in the Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto invites applicants for a one year full-time contractually limited term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning September 1, 2014 and ending August 31, 2015.

Primary responsibilities will be undergraduate teaching, mentorship and supervision, and carrying out independent research; some teaching at the graduate level is a possibility. The successful candidate will have a PhD by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter, a commitment to quality undergraduate education and experience, and a productive independent research program.  Evidence of excellence in teaching and research is required.
